Quick Answers Before You Call
Commercial Tree Service FAQs for Rio Linda & Sacramento County
Get direct answers about estimates, licensing, emergency response, crane-assisted removal, stump grinding, service areas and Jaeger's free wood-chip program.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Call, text, or fill out our contact form and we'll schedule a walkthrough of the property, then give you a firm, written quote based on what we actually see on site — no charge for the visit, and no obligation to book the work afterward.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Jaeger's Tree Service Inc. is licensed by the CSLB (Class C49, License #1054806), bonded, and insured up to $2 million, and our crew is OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certified. We also hold a General Engineering license (CSLB Class A, License #1147781) through Jaeger Engineering. We've been family owned and operated since 2004.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Rio Linda and serve Sacramento, Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, West Sacramento, Rocklin, Davis, Elverta, and Antelope, plus surrounding communities across Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado counties. See our full service area list for the complete set of cities we cover.
Do you handle emergency storm damage?
Yes. Downed limbs and storm-damaged trees are treated as priority calls, ahead of routine scheduling. We bring crane support when a large tree or limb is affecting a structure, vehicle, or access route, and we coordinate with insurance documentation when needed.
Do you grind or remove stumps?
Yes, stump grinding and full below-grade removal are both done in-house with our own equipment — no subcontractors involved at any point. We grind stumps flush below grade or remove them entirely, depending on what you're planning for the space afterward.
How do I get on the free wood chip list?
Text (916) 346-7701 to get added to our wood chip list. Chips are dropped off free of charge as they become available from active jobs happening in your area, while supplies last — there's no cost, no delivery fee, and no obligation.
Do you do crane-assisted removals?
Yes, crane-assisted work is one of our specialties. We use company-owned cranes for large trees, tight-access lots, and removals near structures or power lines, including utility-grade line-clearance work backed by our PG&E Line Clearance, or White Hat, training certification program.
Do you handle emergencies that aren't storm-related?
Yes. A tree affecting a structure, vehicle, or access route is treated as a priority call whether or not a storm caused it — a leaning tree, a fallen limb, or anything posing an immediate risk qualifies. See our Emergency Tree Service page for details.
Can you help with defensible space or fire prevention requirements?
Yes. We clear brush, overgrown vegetation, and combustible debris around structures and access areas to help create defensible space, including the specifications some California insurers now require for policy renewal. See our Fire Prevention & Defensible Space page for more.
Do you offer excavation services?
Yes. We handle site-prep excavation and below-grade stump and root removal using our own equipment, for homeowners, contractors, and developers. This pairs naturally with land clearing and leveling work on the same site — see our Excavation Services page for details.
Can I see photos of your past work?
Yes. Our project gallery has real photos from completed jobs, organized by category — crane and complex removals, emergency and storm response, tree removal and trimming, land clearing, and our fleet and equipment — so you can see the actual work, not stock photos.
